holyshit this took me so long ;u; I drew every single stitch on that canvas thing.
Bigfile is big, I swear to god it took like 2 minutes just to resize it at the end.

Nautilus Machina

Based on the aquatic animal of the same name, Nautilus Machina is a slow-moving machine that drags itself along with it’s two legs.

It has several tentacles with ends used to hook and impale it’s victims from afar as it would be unable to chase them. It also has far reaching sight capabilities with its probing eyes made from medical

But perhaps the most interesting feature for the nautilus is its’ tricone drillbit “Mouth". Still functional, the drillbit’s motor parts are hidden mostly beneath the protective covering that encloses most of the creature.

Many Thanks to:

=LonelyOne , who made me aware of the tricone drillbit and how it works.

~Tzolkin and ~shadowh3 , who make awesome wood textures. Go them!

I have yet to see the movie "9" but I really hope to see it as soon as possible ;;.

It really reminds me of the advisors from Half Life 2, and that is quite awsome. Is it inspired from them?

I really love the concept of this creature : D

Hmmm I never thought of them but you're right! They do look a bit similar.

And thank you c:

Ahhh, he's so cool. I was so surprised that your guy didn't make it in the semi-finalists, he's definitely extremely original and you did an amazing job of rendering. :)

I haven't gotten to see the movie yet either. :(

Thank you. c:
To be honest I was really disappointed at a few of the final entries, there were definately better choices out there. Oh well.
Good luck to you in the contest, btw. Congrats on getting to the semifinals : D
